Dr. Ivery’s research agenda and teaching experience emphasizes macro social work practice and has been focused on leadership, research, community partnerships, community and organizational capacity, and service delivery associated with homelessness, and gerontology. Her recent research has focused on the role of social capital in NORCs (naturally occurring retirement communities) and developing community-based nutrition interventions for older adults. Dr. Ivery’s research on collaborative partnerships and practice with various client populations compliments her teaching in courses on human development, case management, communication and cultural diversity, and field education.
