Rebecca Maldonado Moore, PhD, LMSW, is a Professor and Chair of the President's Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at NM Highlands University. She has more than 20 years of practice experience in community-based development and has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses for more than 15 years. She is also a licensed social worker with an emphasis in community health prevention and intervention programs. While with Tennessee State University (TSU) she was the site coordinator for a three university collaborative designed to deliver one MSW program: the Mid-TN Collaborative Masters of Social Work (MTC MSW). She served as the Field Education Coordinator for four years and as an adjunct instructor with Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing as the social work course director for the Program in Interprofessional Learning. Her recent publication is: Moore, R., and Doxtater, T. M. (2020). She has taught crisis intervention, substance use treatment, community-based research, introduction to macro practice, and social work practice courses with evidence-based interventions.
