Tasha M. Childs, MSW, LSW, LMSW is a fourth-year Doctoral Candidate in the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. Her primary research interests are racial inequity in schools, exmained through two primary mechanisms: 1) teacher racial bias and 2) school social work as racial equity agents. As she integrates her unique background in education and training as a school social worker with best practices in the social work profession she hopes to bridge education and social work practice to eliminate racism in schools.
