Carole Cox, is Professor at the Graduate School of Social Service, Fordham University. She is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and a Fulbright scholar. She serves as a representative of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG) to the United Nations. She has authored 8 books and more than 60 journal articles and chapers dealing with dementia, grandparenting issues, human trafficking and social policy. For many years she has worked wih grandparens raising grandchildren having developed and offered an enpowerment program for them which focuses on empowering them in th family and the community. Recently, the program was transformed into a virtual one in order to meet the pressing needs of these families during the Covid 10 pandemic. Her 2021 article, Addressing Antisemitism in Social Work Education, received much attention leading to the formation of the Jewish Social Workers Interest Group, sponsored by the New York State NASW.
