I have a BSW from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas in 1997. I began my social work career in HIV and AIDS in San Antonio for the Hispanic AIDS Committee. I returned home to El Paso, Texas and have dedicated my 25 year career and passion to child welfare with Child Protective Services of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. I have held various caseworker and supervisory positions. At this time I am the Service Program and Regional Operations Support Administrator for all region 10 in west Texas. I am lucky to oversee great family/client focused programs such as Family Group Decision Making, Kinship Program, and Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) amongst many others. I am the CPS Liaison who works in collaboration with the University of Texas at El Paso on the Child Welfare Training Collaborative for Title IVE funded training and educational opportunities for our staff.
