Natalie completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Windsor in 2004. She spent 15 years in child protection prior to returning to higher education in 2017. She obtained her Master of Social Work with a Specialization in Leadership in Human Organizations at the University of Calgary in 2019 and subsequently entered the PhD program at the University of Windsor. Her dissertation is focused on the impact of child welfare workers’ characteristics on decision-making and the potential for disparate outcomes of vulnerable populations. Her other research interests include shared parenting and the impact of domestic violence, and promoting critical thinking and critically reflective practices in social work education.
