Tyler Collette received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he studied underlying mechanisms for risk and resilience among active-duty service members. He is currently an assistant professor of psychology at Kennesaw State University and affiliate faculty of the Center for the Advancement of Military and Emergency Services Research. His research uses basic science to inform broader policy and interventions for military and military-relevant populations. Specifically, his work seeks to identify malleable buffers to stressful events to inform appropriate interventions.
