Carol S. Collard, PhD, LMSW is an Associate Professor in the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services. She received her BA in Communications from Loyola University and her master’s and doctoral degrees in social work from the University of Georgia. Her teaching emphasis is macro social work and policy. Her research interests and work experience center on homelessness, behavioral health, chronic disease management and social entrepreneurship. Dr. Collard is currently a co-PI in an NIH-funded research study on chronic disease management entitled Healthy Together: A Self-Management and Support Intervention for Low-Income African American Men with Multiple Chronic Conditions.
