Ms. Bruce is the Project Director of the Colorado Child Welfare Scholars Consortium (CCWSC), housed in the Department of Social Work at Metropolitan State University (MSU) of Denver. In this capacity, she is responsible for the statewide implementation of this Title IV-E program, providing support to state, county, and university partners as well as child welfare scholars. Ms. Bruce is the co-chair of the statewide CCWSC committee that is responsible for program administration, research and evaluation efforts and sustainable growth. Ms. Bruce is also a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and has supported the implementation of the IDI and corresponding learning exchanges with child welfare scholars for the last several years. She supports the development and delivery of child welfare-focused curriculum and cultivates internships in partnership with the social work field team.
Ms. Bruce is a Staff Senate representative for the College of Health and Applied Science at MSU Denver and a member of the Staff Senate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEI). She is also an advisory board member for the Center for Immigration and Child Welfare (CICW). Her previous experience includes being an internship field instructor and field liaison. Ms. Bruce received her BSW from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh. She received her MSW from the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver, focusing on community practice.
