Assistant Professor of the Practice Jessica Zaslav earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Colorado. She has professional experience in the area of complex trauma, particularly with survivors of interpersonal violence, grief/loss and homelessness, and has supported these populations clinically as well as though program development and advocacy. Jessica’s passion lies in working with social work students and she has served in multiple field education roles at the DU Graduate School of Social Work. Prior to her appointment as full-time field faculty she was a field instructor, field liaison and adjunct faculty member. When not working, Jessica enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time outdoors.
