Dr. Jessica Tye, Ed.D., LICSW is an Associate Professor and MSW Field Director of the trauma-informed clinical MSW program at Winona State University in Rochester, Minnestoa. She earned an Ed.D. from St. Cloud State in Higher Education Administration, a MSW from the University of St. Thomas/College of St. Catherine, and Bachelors in social work and psychology from Wartburg College. Dr. Tye serves as the MSW Field Director and is responsible for field coordination and placing students in MSW foundation and clinical practicum sites. She also co-led the development of the online MSW program and CSWE accreditation efforts. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota. Her social work practice experience includes providing clinical services to individuals, families, and groups with a history of substance use, outpatient substance abuse treatment, grant administration, child welfare services, gender specific case management, and recovery support services. Dr. Tye’s academic and research interests are college student mental health, substance use disorders, online social work field education, and kinship caregivers.
