Kiu "Kathy" Ho, Ph.D., LCSW, is the Social Services Manager at Disability Rights California (DRC), where she is developing social work support for the Housing Stability Project, which serves clients with disabilities statewide. Kathy received her BA in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), her MSW from the University of Southern California (USC), and PhD in social work from New York University (NYU). She is a Cantonese-bilingual social worker licensed in CA and NY with over 20+ years of social work experience which includes working with diverse populations in outpatient mental health, mobile crisis, inpatient psychiatry, pediatric medical, and forensic/legal settings. Prior to joining DRC, she spent almost 4 years at Stanford Law School, launching and developing the Legal Social Work Collaborative, in which she supervised MSW students in the areas of criminal defense, immigrants' rights, social security disability, tenants' rights, eviction defense, expungements, and youth and education law. She also spent 9 years at Fordham Law School supervising MSW students in their interdisciplinary legal clinic in the areas of special education advocacy, criminal defense, parole, and immigrants' rights.
