Tracy Whitaker, DSW, ACSW is an associate professor and associate dean for academic and student advancement at the Howard University School of Social Work. Dr. Whitaker’s research interests include the social work labor force, diversity and inclusion within the profession and the workplace, and 21st century racism and its implications for African American parents. In 2021, she served as the Co-Chair of the CSWE Task Force to Advance Anti-Racism and is certified in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace by the University of South Florida. Dr. Whitaker also serves as a Board member for the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness in Washington, DC, as the Book Committee Chairperson for the NASW Press and is a co-editor for the inaugural Encyclopedia of Macro Social Work. Dr. Whitaker received her MSW and a DSW from Howard University.
