Dr. Elma Kaiser is teaching at Fairleigh Dickinson University as an Assistant Professor in the MSW program. She obtained her PhD in Social Work from Howard University in Washington DC and MSW from Monash University in Australia. She also earned her MSS & BSS degree in Sociology from Dhaka University in Bangladesh. Dr. Kaiser has conducted numerous research studies with both children and adults, particularly with the disadvantaged in society. She has lived and worked in different countries among a diverse population, which added a rich perspective to social work learning and practice of research. Dr. Kaiser is interested in disadvantaged and displaced populations, gender-based violence, the mental health of women and adolescents, child protection, social development issues, diversity issues, macro, and international social work.
