Trey Jenkins is a third-year Doctoral Student at Arizona State University’s School of Social Work and a Senior Research Specialist at the Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center. He holds a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of University Studies from the University of New Mexico. His goal is to do research in service to the liberation of Black queer and trans people. His research interests are the mental health and wellbeing of Black trans people informed by a queer and trans of color critique. Trey currently serves as a senior scholar in the Inclusive Design for Equity and Inclusion (IDEA) office in the Watts College of Public Service. In his role at the SIRC, he leads and supports community-based evaluation projects and initiatives.
