Kaylyn Townsend, MSW, is the Project Director of the Rose Bente Lee Ostapenko Center for Race, Equity, and Mission at Niagara University. Kaylyn earned her master’s in social work from the University of Pennsylvania with a macro concentration and a professional certificate in organizational leadership; and her bachelor’s in social work and bachelor’s psychology from Niagara University. As a macro-trained practitioner, Kaylyn is passionate about systems-based change and social policy. Kaylyn has completed her field placements at Women Against Abuse in Philadelphia, PA, serving as a Public Policy Intern, and at the NU Ostapenko Center for Race, Equity, and Mission, serving as a Community Outreach Intern. Currently, Kaylyn is managing the Ostapenko Center’s COVID-19 response in the City of Niagara Falls in collaboration with the Niagara Falls Health Equity Task Force. In addition to serving on the NFHETF, Kaylyn serves on the WNY Digital Equity Coalition.
