Rickie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in social work from Texas State University. She is currently a second year PhD student at Our Lady of the Lake University. Rickie Currently works in a Federally Qualified Health Center providing behavioral health services to disadvantaged and marginalized populations. She has served as an instructor for Texas State University and is actively involved in her community. Other research conducted includes a case study of the journey to diagnosis for a female child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a mixed methods inquiry relating to predictors of discriminatory beliefs and the meaning given to experiences of racism.
