Jazmen Moore (she/her) is a Black educator raised on Anishinaabe homelands in Lansing, Michigan. She taught ELA and spoken word for several years in Chicago and is a teacher educator. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in Multicultural Education at the University of Washington and a research assistant with the Banks Center for Educational Justice. Jazmen’s research focuses on Black girlhood, Black girl refusals as navigational practices, and chosen learning spaces.
