Andrea Portillo is a queer immigrant raised in Nahua & Lenca lands (El Salvador) and Ohlone lands (Richmond, CA). She has worked as a school therapist and community mental health clinician supporting immigrant families navigating systems of care. Currently she is a pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare at the University of Washington and her research interests include immigrant counter-narratives, identity and healing practices within the Central American diaspora.
