Maurya Glaude, Ph.D., MSW, LCSW-BACS (MFP, Alumna) joined the faculty of Tulane University in 2017 and remains committed to preparing clinical-community graduate scholars through culturally relevant learning opportunities that are responsive to students' needs as well as the needs of our larger community. Dr. Glaude currently serves as the Field Director, and she understands that promoting social justice requires her use of self to leverage partnerships to systemically promote inclusivity and authenticity while reflecting humanness in an intentional way. She mentors students, especially with research related to culturally relevant models of care and mental wellbeing. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Glaude is a visual artist and she practices as a licensed clinical social worker.
