Dr. Terri Klemm, Professor of Social Work and BSW Program Director at Centenary University in NJ, helped to establish Centenary’s BSW Program after many years of experience as a social work practitioner. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with certifications in Clinical Social Work Supervision, Disaster Response Crisis Counseling, and Trauma Response & Crisis Intervention. Klemm has been honored with Centenary’s Distinguished Teaching Award and she was named NASW-NJ Social Worker of the Year in 2016. In 2018, Klemm earned her DSW at St. Catherine’s University – University of St. Thomas; the topic of her dissertation was civic engagement and social action in social work education. She is deeply concerned about issues of environmental justice and climate change, and was pleased to serve on the steering committe of CSWE’s Environmental Justice Task Force, which published a Curricular Guide for Environmental Justice in 2020.
