Amy M. Alberton, PhD, MSW, is an Assistant Professor at Wichita State University's School of Social Work. Dr. Alberton received her undergraduate degree in Criminology (with a minor in political science) in 2010, her MSW in 2016, and her PhD in Social Work in 2021, all from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Alberton’s research agenda is focused on the pursuit of social justice through anti-oppressive practices, programs, and policies. Particularly, the foundation of her area of interest is the elimination of structural violence, including colonialism, or systemic barriers.
