Adrianna Carter, LMSW, is driven by her passion for youth, safe spaces, and systemic change. She currently serves as the program coordinator of the Mayor’s Youth Council and WeGo Public Transit Youth Action Team at the Oasis Center in Nashville, TN. Her undergraduate degree is in Communication Studies and Civic Engagement & Social Entrepreneurship. I am currently pursuing my license in advanced practice social work. At Oasis, Adrianna serves as co-chair of the Antiracism & Cultural Connection employee resource group and played a role in the creation of Oasis Center’s Racial Equity Strategic Plan. In the community, she serves as vice-chair of the Coalition of Black Social Workers and co-chair the youth planning committee for the MLK Day Nashville Celebration. In the summer of 2021, she was awarded funding from the University of TN Office Division of Diversity & Engagement to serve as co-investigator on a project that assessed the impact of race-based trauma and COVID on the mental health of black social workers.
