Nancy A. Amos, PhD, ACSW, LCSW, received a bachelor of arts degree in sociology and spanish from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH; a master's of social work degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO; and a PhD in social welfare from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. She has practiced as a social worker for more than 30 years in child welfare, gerontology, health care, and social work administration. Currently, she teaches full-time in the social work program at Bradley University and maintains her own private practice. She provides supervision for social workers seeking licensure. Nancy is past president of the NASW-Illinois Chapter and has served with multiple community agencies and on boards of directors. Her particular clinical and research interests are depression and postpartum depression in adolescent women and improving social work education.
