Dr. Kristin E. Trainor is an assistant professor and graduate faculty member in the Department of Social Work at Ball State University. Kristin has explored prenatal substance use and the ways healthcare providers attitudes and stigma affect service delivery. As a licensed clinical social worker with extensive practice experience in health and mental health care systems, she teaches primarily graduate clinical practice courses and practice evaluation. Kristin combines her deep interest in social justice and research with her strong practical experience in a broad range of social work areas including institutional settings and private practice therapy. Additionally, her research interests include: healthcare, substance use disorders, food culture, community engaged research, criminal justice, and technology.
