Dr. Knox holds a BA in psychology, a MSW, and a Ph.D. in Special education. Dr. Knox is a LCSW, Board Certified Clinical Supervisor, and a level 3 school social worker in New Mexico. She has held various roles as a social worker including child welfare, adoptions, a group therapist, in-patient psychiatric care settings, and a private practitioner. Dr. Knox has spent 11 years as a special education social worker and is currently an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University. Dr. Knox's research interests include school social work, special education, critical disability theory, social work professional identity, and disability advocacy and ethics.
