Hayden Dawes, LCSW is a Ph.D Student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Policy Research Scholar. His research aims to promote the mental health and social well-being of people of color and LGBTQIA+ individuals by improving mental health services, systems, and policies. He regularly presents on cultural humility, cultural competence, adult mental health treatment and anti-racist social work practices. His social work experiences include community social work, medical social work, mental health and addiction treatment.
