Christina R. Miller is an associate professor at the Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma. She teaches Interviewing Skills to undergraduate students, leads interprofessional learning initiatives, and serves as the Coordinator for the Ruth Knee Institute for Transformation Scholarship. During her time at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Miller has established collaborative relationships with several local and state agencies and has successfully procured both internal and external funding for innovative community-based participatory research projects. The GirlPower Photovoice Project involved collaboration between the Norman Center for Children and Families, Inc. to provide cameras to 13 middle school girls to elucidate their perceptions of the health promoting and inhibiting aspects of their local community. The TechNow: Impact of Self-Determination and Technology Training on Youth with Disabilities study is measuring the impact of a technology training program on the self-determination and post-school plans of high school students with disabilities. Christina R. Miller received her B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Southwest Baptist University in 2000, her MSW from Missouri State University in 2002, and her clinical license in 2004. She worked for the Missouri Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and as a school social worker before receiving her PhD from Florida State University in 2008.
