Dr. Jared Barton is an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare (KUSSW) whose research interests involve supporting the uptake of data and technology in human services to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families through data-informed decision-making, enhanced practice and policy, and continuous quality improvement. Dr. Barton serves as the Director of ROM Reports, the reporting tool used in Kansas FFPSA. Dr. Barton has been involved in the conceptualization, technical development, and business analysis of multiple web-applications to support data collection, shared measurement, and reporting for several federal and state child and family well-being initiatives including those in child welfare, evidence-based early childhood programs, and community-based prevention programs. Dr. Barton received a Ph.D. and a Master’s in Social Work Administration and Advocacy Practice from the KUSSW.
