With over 30 years of human services experience in Massachusetts, Sue has worked in a variety of sectors. Sue has been employed in state agencies, non-profit and Federal organizations, as a clinician, supervisor, trainer and consultant. She has worked with vulnerable populations, namely children and families in the child welfare system and with adults with mental health, substance abuse and other social/emotional concerns. She also has expertise in supervision and staff management. After arriving at Boston College in 2000, Sue has moved through the ranks in the Field Education department and has been an adjunct faculty member. In her current role as Assistant Dean for Field Education, Sue has strong connections in the community, which leads to mutually beneficial partnerships with agency administrators and field instructors. She uses these connections to support the coordination of practicum learning for BC SSW students and to support the training of social work supervisors.
