Dr. Shinwoo Choi is an assistant professor of social work at Texas State University and her research focuses on diverse families' well-being: their challenges, and resilience. She has been exploring the impact of racial microaggressions and vulnerable populations' disaster management as two main research topics. Also, Dr. Choi accumulated various practice experiences after my MSW degree, which includes program coordinator at the Group Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CGBT) for Latina immigrant mothers, clinical social work volunteer at public middle school, and clinical research coordinator at the Public Health department.
