Ariel Hooker Jones is an assistant professor in the social work department at SIUE. She is a clinical social worker with several years of experience working in schools and community mental health agencies. Her research interests include mental health treatment and disparities, play and resilience - especially as it relates to ethnic minority populations, and social work pedagogy. She primarily teaches social work practice courses including Group Work Practice, Practice with Individuals and Families, and Counseling Skills Development.
