Rachael Pascoe, MSW, RSW is a PhD student at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto. She is supported for her doctoral dissertation by the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship. Her current research interests involve shame reduction and accountability as a restorative process in group therapy for adolescents who have sexually harmed. Rachael has a Master of Social Work from University of Toronto and practice experience in the fields of concurrent disorders, violence prevention, and trauma-specific therapy. She has worked as a clinical therapist with adolescents who sexually abuse, children with concerning sexual behaviours, and children and teenagers who have experienced trauma at Radius Child and Youth Services since 2016. She has published and presented at Canadian and international conferences on the topic of group therapy generally and, more specifically group therapy for the specialist population of adolescents who sexually harm.
