Dr. Heather Rice is a mixed-methods researcher from Cleveland State University College of Health (School of Nursing). She is currently a Principal Investigator working on multiple projects in partnership with the community organizations Birthing Beautiful Communities (BBC), Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center (PPRC) and Village of Healing Center (VOH). Dr. Rice's program of research focuses on maternal health, toxic stress, birth equity and infant mortality in African American women. She also works as a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry.
