Allison Milam Diehl, LCSW is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Field Coordinator for the Nashville MSSW Program of the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. Prior to coming to University of Tennessee, Allison was the Hope Program Coordinator at Catholic Charities of Tennessee, supervising a team that provided trauma-focused counseling to children and adolescents and serving as a field instructor for graduate students from multiple universities. She also worked as a therapist in Catholic Charities’ Individual and Family Counseling Program and an adjunct professor with University of Tennessee. In addition, Allison enjoys providing trainings and presentations on trauma, resilience, vicarious trauma, self-care, and a variety of mental health topics. She appreciates her current role as Field Coordinator, because it allows her to support students in developing their own professional skills while exploring opportunities to further strengthen the field education program.
