Sarah E. (Betsy) Bledsoe, PhD, MPhil, MSW is Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Social Work and Co-Director of the Natioanl Initiative for Trauma Education and Workforce Development. Her research addresses maternal and child mental health, evidence-based practice, and interventions promoting positive mental health and development for low-income families. Dr. Bledsoe's work aims to address the fundamental causes of psychiatric illness, poverty and discrimination, through community-based and participatory research with a focus on mood, anxiety, and trauma related disorders.
