Anna Scheyett is Professor and former dean at University of Georgia School of Social Work, with a joint appointment at the UGA Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication. She received her PhD from Memorial University, MSW from the University of North Carolina, and Master’s in Science and Philosophy from Yale University Department of Human Genetics. Prior to working in Georgia she was Dean of the University of South Carolina College of Social Work, and before that, Associate Dean at the University of North Carolina School of Social Work. Dr. Scheyett’s research examines issues related to the community well-being of vulnerable populations, including those living with mental illnesses, those in the criminal justice system, and those living in rural areas.
