Edson’s research areas are inspired by his own experiences of helping refugees and immigrants from war-torn countries. His research focusses on mental health affecting children, refugees and immigrants. He also interested in health disparities in low and middle income countries. In addition, Chipalo focusses on the relationship between violence and mental health among children and adolescents in develpoing countries.
