I am an Instructor (Tenure Track) in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine. I am a Spanish speaker and immigrant from Chile with a Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have both personal and professional experience working with Latinx communities in mental health, specifically suicide prevention. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate; my extensive clinical involvement is in emerging adults trauma-focused interventions, particularly involving Latinx Spanish-speaking clients.
