Domonique Davis is a second-year doctoral student at Jackson State University’s School of Social work. Domonique received her bachelor's degree in Sociology from Tougaloo College. Upon graduation she received a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) certification which enabled her to become a case manager for adults with developmental disabilities. While working as a QIDP, Domonique studied Social Work at Dominican University. She earned her Master of Social Work degree at Dominican University majoring in children and family services in 2015. Domonique facilitated group and one on one consoling sessions to girls residing in group homes and adults with developmental disabilities. After completing her masters’ degree, Domonique was promoted to Client Service Manager for various social service agencies where she provided services to adults with developmental disabilities. During her free time, she volunteers at youth agencies providing mentoring and tutoring services to students in Chicago, Illinois.
