Dr. Saleh recently joined the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies as an Associate Professor in the Masters of Social Work Program. She was a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work at University of North Texas and also the Founding Director of the Texas Woman's-University of North Texas Joint MSW Program. As Founding Program Director, she successfully worked on and led the establishment of the JMSW Program. This included authoring the majority of the accreditation documents and leading the program through the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Candidacy process in record time. The TWU-UNT JMSW Program was granted CSWE Candidacy Status in July of 2018. She worked in Northern England as Social Work Faculty and Post-Qualifying Programme Director at University of Bradford (UK). Dr. Saleh served as a US Fulbright Scholar at Bethlehem University in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in 2013 where she taught and worked on establishing their Masters of Social Work program. During her Fulbright she also served on an informal joint appointment at Birzeit University’s Institute for Community and Public Health. Prior to serving as a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Saleh was a tenured Associate Professor of Social Work at University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). In addition to her research and classroom teaching duties at UNR, she served as UNR Principal Investigator of the Nevada Training Partnership for Child Welfare. Her research focuses on the intersections of fatherhood, child welfare, and diversity. She also focuses on international social work and women's issues.
