Dr. Kristen Ravi is an assistant professor in the College of Social Work at The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Her research focuses on intimate partner violence (IPV). It primarily centers around the impact of IPV on survivors and their children and protective factors such as the maternal-child bond. Dr. Ravi's additional research areas include help-seeking behaviors of survivors of IPV and their access to transportation as well as IPV among immigrants and refugees. She earned her Ph.D. in social work from The University of Texas at Arlington and her MSW from The Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis.
