Raymond Mullenax is the Director of Field Education at Boise State University’s School of Social Work. In this role he oversees the field education for BSW and MSW students on the main campus in Boise and a fully online MSW program with students located throughout the United States. He is a licensed clinical social worker and graduated from Boise State University in 1999 with a master’s degree in social work. He has taught a variety of courses including foundations of social work, child welfare policy, trauma informed child welfare, BSW/MSW field classes, and gender, ethnicity and class. His previous work experience includes working at Casey Family Programs, State of Idaho Children’s Mental Health and Child Protection. Professionally, he is interested in supervision, ethics, field education, LGBTQI+ issues, grief and loss, domestic violence issues, family systems, cultural diversity, trauma and the impact it has on children’s development. He enjoys living in Idaho and accessing all the recreational opportunities so readily available. His personal interests include photography, hiking, backpacking, trail running and wildlife viewing in Yellowstone.
