C. Riley Hostetter (they/them) is a doctoral student in the Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Denver. They have an MSW from Portland State University and a BS in psychology and Spanish from Iowa State University. Their work centers queer, transgender, and nonbinary communities. Riley’s research interests include social determinants of health, gender identity, and foster care youth. With much of their practice experience being in the child welfare system, they also focus on structural inequities within child welfare as well as other systems accessed by marginalized populations.
