I am a first-generation student and PhD candidate at the Baylor University's Diana R. Garland School of Social Work. I have been in clinical practice as an LCSW for 15 years. I worked in rural Appalachia for 12 years, serving in clinical practice roles and community work. In 2019, I earned a Masters of Divinity degree and have worked as an affirming resource for LGBTQIA+ at the intersection of religion and spirituality. I am now a Clinical Assistant Faculty and Assistant Program Coordinator for the MSW Online Program at Boise State University. My research is on improving access to competent practice for trans, non binary, and gender diverse clients addition and topics related to advancing social work education. In addition to my academic work, I am outdoor adventurer and mother to 3 kids and 2 large dogs.
