Amy Nourie earned her MS in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida. Her professional experiences include various positions in the child welfare field, most notably 8 years at the Guardian ad Litem Program. Amy is in her second year as a PhD student at USF and is working on a dissertation using qualitative research methods to learn more about the lived experiences of former foster youth in Florida and, specifically, their perceptions of the Guardian ad Litem Program. Her research interests include social justice, child welfare, LGBTQ+ youth in foster care, and a feminist theoretical lens.
