Danielle Groton earned her Ph.D. in Social Work and MSW and MPA from Florida State University. Dr. Groton worked on program evaluations for non-profits and assisted with coordination and training for the biennial Homeless Point in Time count. She has worked in homeless services in various capacities, from case management to upper administration in emergency and transitional housing. Dr. Groton’s area of expertise is on homelessness and housing, particularly related to women experiencing homelessness. She is currently an Assistant Professor and Interim DSW Coordinator at the Sandler School of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University. In 2021, Dr. Groton was recognized as the Distinguished Teacher of the Year for the university.
