Tonya Slawinski received her Ph.D. and MSW from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work and her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from Shenandoah University (formerly Shenandoah Conservatory of Music).

Tonya currently holds a faculty position and functions as the Director of Field Education in addition to teaching and field liaison responsibilities in the BASW and MSW Program. She has taught in both programs since 1996 and also served as the MSW program coordinator at University of Pittsburgh – Johnstown campus in the past.
