Sharon D. Morrison, PhD is a Professor of Public Health Education at University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG), and a Fellow with its Center for New North Carolinians (CNNC). She is a community-engaged teacher, researcher and interdisciplinary scholar preparing next-generation public health and other human service professionals to tackle and collaboratively solve global and transnational problem, including refugee and immigrant health and social integration issues. She is the recipient of the 2017 UNC Board of Governors Teaching Excellence Award, the 2021 Thomas Undergraduate Research Mentor Award for tenured faculty at UNCG, and the 2019 Community Impact and Outcomes Award from the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE). She is also a member of the Board of the Association for Immigrants and Refugee Service Professionals(ARSP).
