John P. McTighe Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Social Work at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey. He holds graduate degrees in both Divinity and Social Work. Dr. McTighe’s research focuses on the development of narrative theory and practice and its implications for social justice. Other areas of specialization include clinical supervision, multicultural social work, and spirituality in clinical practice. He has published in the areas of narrative, shared traumatic stress, and the use of self in the clinical process, and has presented his work both nationally and internationally. His book, Narrative Theory in Clinical Social Work Practice, was published in 2018 by Springer.
